AKTU B.Tech theory exam 100 marks ka hota hai jisme 70 marks end semester exam (ESE) ke hote hain aur 30 marks internal assessment ke hote hain. Internal mein: 20 marks class tests + assignments aur 10 marks attendance se. ESE mein 5 questions hote hain (ek per unit, 5 units) mein se 3 attempt karne hote hain, ya phir 10 short questions mein se 7 attempt. Practical exams alag hote hain — generally 25-50 marks ke. Kuch subjects mein drawing/design component bhi hota hai.
AKTU mein passing ke liye theory mein minimum 40% marks chahiye — 70 marks ke paper mein 28 marks aur 30 marks internal mein 12 marks, kul milakar 40 out of 100. Agar theory mein 28 aur internal mein 12 na aayein toh fail ho jaoge chahe combined percentage 40% ho. Practicals mein bhi 40% se zyada chahiye hota hai. Agar fail ho gaye toh back paper (supplementary exam) milta hai. Important: sirf combined 40% nahi — theory aur internal dono mein alag-alag qualify karna hota hai.
AKTU 10-point grading system follow karta hai: O (Outstanding) = 91-100%, A+ = 81-90%, A = 71-80%, B+ = 61-70%, B = 51-60%, C = 45-50%, P (Pass) = 40-44%, F (Fail) = below 40%. CGPA = (Credit × Grade Point ka sum) ÷ Total Credits. Ek subject ka credit uski teaching hours pe depend karta hai — generally 3-4 credits per subject. CGPA 10-point scale pe hoti hai. Agar ek bhi subject mein F aaye toh wo credit CGPA mein nahi count hoti.
AKTU exam mein marks maximum kaise laayein: (1) Ek ek question poora clearly likh ke attempt karo, (2) Headings bold karo aur underline karo, (3) Diagrams zaroori jagah pe banao — examiner ko impress karte hain, (4) Points mein likhna prefer karo long answers ke liye, (5) 10-mark question mein introduction + 3-4 main points + conclusion structure follow karo, (6) Time management: 70 marks ke paper ke liye 3 hours = roughly 2.5 min per mark, (7) Pehle wo questions attempt karo jo aate hain, (8) Rough work clearly mark karo.
AKTU mein har semester mein 2 class tests (CT1 aur CT2) hote hain — typically semester ke beech mein. CT1 first half syllabus pe aur CT2 second half pe hota hai. Best CT score count hota hai — matlab dono dene ke baad better score liya jaata hai. CT 20 marks ke hote hain (usually 10-10 marks ke 2 tests). Assignments aur quiz bhi internal marks mein contribute karte hain. Attendance minimum 75% zaruri hai — isse kam attendance pe exam nahi de sakte officially.
AKTU norms ke according minimum 75% attendance compulsory hai. 75% se kam attendance pe officially detained ho sakte ho — matlab exam nahi de sakte. Kuch colleges mein condonation process hoti hai jisme fees dekar attendance shortage waive hoti hai (generally max 10% shortage). Medical emergency ya genuine reason pe principal discretion se exemption mil sakti hai. Attendance exam hall ticket issue hone se pehle check hoti hai. Isliye regular attend karo — 75% ka matlab week mein ek din chhod sakte ho, isse zyada nahi.
AKTU mein agar tum kisi subject mein fail ho gaye (below 40%) toh wo 'back' ya 'carry over' subject kehlaata hai. Back paper mein sirf end semester exam dena hota hai — previous internal marks carry forward ho jaate hain. Back exams regular exams ke saath hi hote hain — next semester ke exams mein supplementary chance milta hai. AKTU 8 semesters mein maximum attempts ki koi strict limit nahi hai lekin 4 years (8 sem) + 2 years extra = 6 saal mein degree complete karni hoti hai. Back papers fees alag hoti hai.
AKTU result aane ke baad agar lagta hai ki marks galat mile hain toh revaluation apply kar sakte ho. Process: (1) AKTU portal (erp.aktu.ac.in) pe login karo, (2) Revaluation/Rechecking option select karo, (3) Subject select karo jisme revaluation chahiye, (4) Fees pay karo (approximately Rs. 500-800 per subject), (5) Apply karo deadline se pehle (generally 15-30 days after result). Revaluation mein fresh marking hoti hai. Agar marks increase hue toh update ho jaate hain. Result generally 2-3 months mein aata hai revaluation ka.
AKTU practical exams mein do components hote hain: (1) Internal practical marks — lab records (journal), viva voce, lab performance (ye college mein hota hai, lab teacher ke saath), (2) External practical — university se external examiner aata hai, jo experiment observe karta hai aur viva leta hai. External practical 40-50 marks ka hota hai. External examiner randomly questions poochhta hai experiment ke concept se related. Journal/record book properly maintained hona chahiye — examiner isko bhi check karta hai. Practical mein bhi 40% marks chahiye pass ke liye.
AKTU mein unfair means (cheating) ke consequences bohot serious hain: (1) Minor offense (chit ya notes seen) — examination cancelled, zero marks us subject mein, (2) Major offense (phone, impersonation, help lena/dena) — us semester ke saare subjects cancelled, (3) Repeat offense — 1-2 year examination ban, (4) Severe cases — rustication (college se nikaala jaana). AKTU ki invigilators kaafi strict hote hain. Extra sheets, flying squad visits, CCTV monitoring hoti hai. Koi risk nahi lena chahiye — PYQ se genuine preparation karo.
AKTU mein improvement exam provision hai jisme already pass subjects mein better grade ke liye dobara exam de sakte ho. Improvement exam regular exams ke saath hi hota hai. Rules: (1) Sirf wo subjects le sakte ho jisme C ya B grade aaya ho (B+ ya upar wale generally allowed nahi), (2) Baar-baar improvement ek subject mein nahi milti, (3) Improvement ka jo result aaye — original ya improved — better score valid hota hai. AKTU improvement form college ke through submit hota hai. Kuch specific regulations hain jo college se confirm karo kyunki niyam update hote rehte hain.
AKTU B.Tech theory subjects ka syllabus 5 units mein divided hota hai. Har unit mein 2-3 topics hote hain. End semester paper mein: Section A — 5 compulsory short questions (2 marks each) ek ek unit se, Section B — 5 long questions mein se 3 attempt karne hote hain (har ek unit se ek question, 15 marks each), ya kuch subjects mein alternate question structure hoti hai. Total marks: 10 (Section A) + 45 (Section B) = 55 marks ESE (ya 70 marks direct). Isliye paper pattern ke according PYQ practice karo — pattern samajhoge toh marks improve honge.
AKTU affiliated colleges mein placement ke liye generally minimum 6.0-6.5 CGPA required hota hai — ye company pe depend karta hai. Top MNCs (TCS, Infosys, Wipro) generally 6.0+ accept karte hain. Good companies (mid-tier) 6.5-7.0+ prefer karti hain. Dream companies 7.5-8.0+ expect karti hain. Core companies (government PSUs, premium firms) 7.0+ aur no backlogs require karte hain. CGPA ke saath skills, internships aur projects bhi matter karte hain. AKTU mein backlogs (back papers) bhi placement mein hindrance create karte hain — maximum 1-2 live backlogs accept karte hain kuch companies.
AKTU supplementary/back exam fees approximately Rs. 150-300 per subject hoti hai (ye official AKTU fee hai, college processing charges alag ho sakti hain). Regular exam fees normal registration mein cover hoti hain. Revaluation ke liye Rs. 500-800 per subject. Exam form fill-up mein delay penalty fees alag se lagti hai. AKTU B.Tech final year project (Sem 7-8) mein typically ek major project hota hai jo year mein two phases mein complete hota hai: Phase 1 (Sem 7) — problem statement, literature survey, methodology, initial work. Phase 2 (Sem 8) — complete implementation, testing, report writing. Project guide (faculty) assign hota hai. Evaluation: Internal evaluation (progress reviews, guides ka assessment) + External evaluation (university examiner, final presentation aur viva). Project report specific format follow karta hai — abstract, introduction, methodology, results, conclusion, references. Marks generally 100-150 hote hain project ke liye.
