- aA synchronous generator feeds bus 1 of a system. A power net work feeds bus 2 of the system. Buses 1 and 2 are connected through a transformer and a transmission line. Per unit reactances of the various components are: Generator (connected to bus bar 1): 0.25 Transformer: 0.12 Transmission Line 0.28 The power network can be represented by a generator with a reac tance (unknown) in series. With the generator on no load and with 1.0 pu voltage a t each bus under operating condition, a three-phase short circuit occurring on bus 1causes a current of 5.0pu to flow into the fault. Determine the equivalent reactance of the power network

- bDesign the positive, negative and zero sequence network of t he system shown in mentioned figure when a single line to ground fault (on phase a ) occurs on bus 1. Also calculate the fault current. The rating of the machines are 1200KVA, 600V with X՛ =X 2= 10%, X 0=5%. T1 is rated 1200KVA, 600V/3300V with leakage reactance of 5%, T 2 is rated 1200KVA, 3300V/600V with leakage reactance of 5%. The reactance of the t ransmission line are X1= X2=20% and X0=40% on the base of 1200KVA, 3300V. The reactance of the neutra l grounding reactors are 5% on the KVA and voltage base of the machine
